What are the Benefits of Dermaplaning?

The face will have a smoother more refined complexion helping any make up application to look flawless. The build up of dead skin and microscopic hairs can make your complexion appear dull and may even cause breakouts due to clogged pores and hair follicles. Dermaplaning can help you maintain an even healthy glow.

Dermaplaning Works for Most Skin Types

This treatment can be an isolated service or added to most facial treatments that we offer. It is suitable for most skin types, however if you have inflamed acne or any lesions,  you would not be a candidate for this service.

Will my hair grow back thicker?

No, dermaplaning will not make your hair grow back thicker. It may feel different as it grows back as the hair was cut off at a blunt angle rather than having the natural narrowing point to it.

Is there any down time?

No there is no down time to this service. You may experience slight redness immediately after, but not always. After your treatment you can freely go about your regular day.

Is there any aftercare?

We do not recommend excessive sweating for 24 hours post  treatment as pores and hair follicles are open and sweat may cause pustule  breakouts. You should always wear sun protection everyday but post exfoliation your skin is more susceptible to the sun’s rays. It is imperative that sun protection is worn following this treatment. 

How long will this treatment last?

The procedure can remove three weeks of dead skin cells, so your smooth healthy glow will last all month. Since skin and hair cells are constantly renewing however we recommend scheduling a service every month or so to maintain your results.
